Casi 59,000 familias de Florida pueden esperar pagos únicos de $450 por niño en los próximos días, según información de la portavoz del gobernador Ron DeSantis, Christina Pushaw.
Los pagos son el resultado de una sección del presupuesto estatal que DeSantis convirtió en ley a principios de junio. Según un comunicado del Departamento de Niños y Familias de Florida, el programa se llama «Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity».
“Estamos redoblando esfuerzos para reunir a grupos públicos y privados para colaborar y comunicarse con los floridanos y en su nombre”, dijo la Primera Dama Casey DeSantis en el comunicado del 15 de julio. “Vamos más allá del gobierno al traer socios comunitarios a la mesa para satisfacer las necesidades de las familias de crianza temporal y adoptivas bajo el paraguas de mi iniciativa Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity”.
La primera dama continuó su declaración en el comunicado dirigiéndose también a las familias de crianza temporal y adoptivas.
La información del DCF no especificó qué familias recibirían los pagos, pero una portavoz del departamento le dijo a Spectrum News el miércoles que la información estaba disponible.
El martes por la tarde, Pushaw tuiteó una foto de la carta que, según dijo, las familias que reciben los pagos pueden esperar en el correo.
