La policía investiga un tiroteo cerca de Victory Lounge & Restaurant en Midtown que dejó a dos mujeres heridas en horas de la noche del miércoles.
No está claro si el tiroteo tuvo lugar dentro o fuera del restaurante que está ubicado en el 3252 del noreste y la 1ra avenida.
Los que viven cerca dijeron que escucharon varios disparos antes de que los oficiales inundaron el área.
“Escuché nueve disparos en dos rondas sucesivas”, dijo a WSVN Ray Youssef. «Estaba en el cuarto piso de ese hotel que está en la esquina, y escuché algunos gritos, gente gritándose entre sí y luego apareció la policía».
Por su parte la portavoz de la policía de Miami, Kiara Delva, dijo que los oficiales llegaron al lugar y encontraron a una mujer que parecía haber recibido un disparo. Fue llevada al Jackson Memorial Hospital en condición estable.
Una segunda mujer fue rozada por una bala. Esa mujer fue tratada en el lugar por personal de Miami Fire Rescue.
Según Delva, tres personas han sido detenidas con relación al tiroteo, pero nadie ha sido oficialmente arrestado.
Se desconoce hasta el momento el motivo del tiroteo.
