Los gobiernos de Estados Unidos y Cuba retomaran las negociaciones para el restablecimiento pleno de las relaciones el próximo 16 de mayo según dijo el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la República de Cuba.
«La delegación cubana estará presidida por la directora general de EE.UU. del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, y la estadounidense por la consejera del Secretario de Estado, Kristie Kenney.” dijo el gobierno de Cuba.
«durante la reunión, se revisarán los acuerdos alcanzados en la segunda reunión de la Comisión, celebrada el 10 de noviembre de 2015, en Washington y los resultados obtenidos desde entonces.” continuo la nota.
“También se definirán las acciones que ambas partes acometerán durante el resto del año para avanzar en el proceso de mejoría de las relaciones, incluyendo la realización de encuentros técnicos y la suscripción de acuerdos de cooperación sobre temas de interés mutuo, la concreción de visitas de alto nivel en ambas direcciones y la celebración de diálogos sobre temas de interés bilateral y multilateral en los que no tenemos posiciones coincidentes.”
Cuba y Estados Unidos trabajan en una comisión bilateral para encontrar los puntos de colaboración entre ambos países.
