El popular músico y ganador de varios premios Grammy por su música Jazz Chucho Valdés hará una gira por los Estados Unidos. Chucho Valdés viajara a Estados Unidos acompañado de su banda «the Afro-Cuban Messengers» e incluirán presentaciones en New york y Philadelphia. Chucho Valdés se presentara el 21 de enero del 2012 en el Carnegie Hall de New York donde compartirá escenario con el cantante español de Jazz Buika. El cantante español y Valdés ya han trabajado juntos en un album que le valió el premio Grammy 2012 por su trabajo «Ultimo Trago».
Las presentaciones de Chucho Valdés y su banda serán para interpretar temas de su ultimo disco «Chucho’s Steps» que le valió para ganar el Grammy Latino 2011 al mejor disco de Jazz. El día 26 de enero el músico cubano estará en «the Merriam Theater of Philadelphia». Chucho Valdés tiene previsto hacer una gira 2012 bastante extensa visitando lugares como Angola, Macao y Taipei, América del Sur, Europa y América del Norte.
