En lo que va de año fiscal las autoridades estadounidenses han interceptado a 2005 balseros cubanos intentando llegar a las costas de la Florida.

El año fiscal comenzó el pasado primero de octubre y hasta la fecha ya han interceptado una tercera parte de los balseros cubanos que llegaron durante el pasado año.

En el año fiscal 2022, la cifra total fue de 6182 cubanos.

Solamente el jueves pasado, la Guardia Costera repatrió a Cuba a 95 cubanos que fueron interceptados en cuatro grupos cerca de los Cayos de la Florida.
