Yander Serra, un cubano de Manzanillo, al oriente de Cuba, está concursando como finalista en el certamen que lanzó el presentador Alexander Otaola junto a Red Cuban Power, para elegir un youtuber o influencer de la Isla que tenga dotes para empoderar a la sociedad cubana.

En apenas tres minutos, el joven manzanillero se las ha agenciado para ganarse un sinfín de comentarios en YouTube, alentar a los cubanos, y demostrar por qué va a la cabeza en el concurso.

En su vídeo Acaben de quitarle la R a Revolución, Serra alienta a los cubanos a echar raíces en el presente, no a buscarlas en el pasado.

«¿Qué ha pasado Cuba?… qué ha pasado desde que el padre (Félix) Varela nos dijo desearía ver a Cuba tan isla en lo político como lo es en la naturaleza ¿Hemos sido esa isla en los últimos 60 años? Hemos visto como nuestros padres se desilusionaron de una épica que se convirtió en una farsa, una obra de teatro muy bien escrita, pero muy mal montada», expresó Yander.

«Nos piden luchar contra enemigos imaginarios, nos hacen echar la culpa en sitios equivocados…nos obligan a convertir al vecino de al lado en nuestro peor enemigo, vemos nuestras ciudades caerse a pedazos mientras en el noticiero nos hablan de sobrecumplimientos, de economía sostenible y de socialismo próspero, y de ahora sí. ¿Ahora sí qué caballero?», continuó.

«Quiero despertar mañana en un país sin miedo, que no discrimine el pensamiento diferente, que no censure el arte más rebelde, y que no destruya seres humanos por decir lo que todos sabemos, y la mayoría calla. Quiero que acaben de quitarle la R a Revolución», concluyó.
