Tras informaciones dadas por el propio gobierno de Matanzas sobre el colapso de la tapa del tanque 3 de la zona de supertanqueros, el gobernador de Matanzas ha salido en cámara asegurando que aún no ha colapsado.

“Cuando pudimos explorar por primera vez el terreno, vimos que fue el propio tanque dos, el mismo que estaba ya incendiándose, que en horas más tempranas se había rajado y se había desparramado un poco de combustible, pero esta vez la explosión si sacó todo el combustible. Ahora está encendido, pero muy bajo», dijo Mario Sabines Lorenzo, gobernador de Matanzas.

«Ahora ese combustible se derramó para las zonas aledañas al tanque, que encendieron la maleza y esa es la situación básicamente que tenemos ahora. Tenemos varios equipos de bomberos en el terreno tratando de cortar el paso, extinguiendo el fuego donde se pueda extinguir y esas son las labores que estamos haciendo de momento», añadió.

El gobierno inicialmente reportó el colapso de la tapa del tanque 3 y luego más tarde rectificó asegurando que aún no ha sucedido.

En redes sociales varios cubanos publicaron el momento de la explosión que según el gobierno se trataba del segundo tanque.
