Entra en vigor este martes la nueva política de deportación exprés en EEUU, lo que quiere decir que si un inmigrante no puede probar que ha permanecido en territorio estadounidense por los últimos dos años será devuelto a su país de origen, informa Telemundo 51.
Cientos de miles ya no tendrán derecho a una audiencia legal ante un juez para pelear su caso de inmigración, a partir de hoy.
«Ahora un oficial de inmigración va a poder decir lo deportamos ahora mismo, sin la posibilidad de ir a vez a un juez y pelear el caso en un tribunal de inmigración», comentó a Telemundo, la abogada Alma Rosa Nieto.
Según el periodista Yusnaby Pérez, se desconocen cuáles documentos se necesitan para demostrar la estadía en EEUU.
No obstante, la abogada de inmigración recomienda a los indocumentados tener la declaración de impuestos de los últimos dos años, además de una identificación estatal, para así tener la posibilidad de pelear legalmente la deportación.
El reglamento excluye personas con peticiones de asilo político, y otros trámites pendientes, también a los que ingresaron legalmente a Estados Unidos, y se quedaron con una visa vencida.
Analistas opinan la política será demandada en las cortes; por su parte la administración de Donald Trump asegura que el cambio es en beneficio de la seguridad pública, y de reducir los costos gubernamentales.
