Eugenio Martínez, embajador cubano en España, pidió este viernes «paciencia» a la compañía Baleària para obtener el permiso del Gobierno cubano con el que poner los viajes en ferry entre Florida y La Habana, reportó EFE.
Martínez, señaló que el proyecto presentado por la naviera española, Baleària, es muy interesante, pero el Gobierno de la isla aún no ha tomado una decisión, esto tuvo lugar enen un encuentro sobre la apertura económica hacia el exterior que promueve La Habana, organizado en Palma de Mallorca.
Baleària ya dispone del permiso de Estados Unidos y está a la espera de que las autoridades cubanas adopten una decisión respecto a su solicitud, y si todo sale bien sería la primera operadora en un nuevo corredor marítimo La Habana-Miami.
«Paciencia con Cuba, que tendremos tiempo para organizar cómo un ferry llega a Cuba», recalcó Martínez, y recordó que otras compañías navieras también han solicitado licencias para operar con Estados Unidos.
