Las imágenes publicadas en redes sociales se pueden apreciar la fuerte penetración del mar en la noche a oscuras del martes en zonas bajas del Malecón de La Habana, a consecuencia de las marejadas ciclónicas tras el alejamiento de Ian de territorio cubano.

Las imágenes compartidas pertenecen a la zona de Malecón y B, en El Vedado, en el grupo de Facebook Maravilloso Malecón por el usuario administrador del grupo Carlos Carlos Espinosa Betancourt, quien escribió: «Menos mal que iba a ser ligera».

Espinosa Betancourt publico este miércoles como sigue el Malecón habanero tras una noche de fuertes inundaciones en un contundente apagón, escribiendo:

  «El Maravilloso Malecón no luce hoy sus mejores galas. Después de una noche de intensas marejadas, fuertes vientos, y sin electricidad al menos la zona donde vivo»

Las penetraciones del mar en zonas bajas del litoral habanero continúan ocurriendo este miércoles, así lo hizo saber en sus redes de Facebook el periodista de Radio Habana Cuba, Dairon Caballero.

Según nota compartida en Twitter por Aylin Herrera de la Agencia Cubana de Noticias (ACN): “En Malecón se realiza el dragado del alcantarillado tras las penetraciones del mar”.

Tantos testimonios de residentes cercanos a las zonas afectadas como medios de prensa oficialistas compartieron imágenes de las inundaciones ocurridas desde la noche del martes y este miércoles con posibilidad de continuar durante el día jueves.

“Aunque #Ian se aleja de #Cuba, la persistencia de vientos fuertes del noroeste y la circulación del fenómeno, genera fuertes marejadas en la costa norte de occidente”, escribió Prensa latina junto con imágenes de lo que está sucediendo en algunas partes del litoral habanero.

En el municipio capitalino, Plaza de la Revolución se reportó afectaciones de caída de árboles, cables eléctricos y de teléfono, según dijo Laira Sánchez Valdivia, presidenta del Consejo de Defensa Municipal (CDM), en declaraciones a la Agencia Cubana de Noticias.  En los consejos populares de Rampa, Plaza de la Revolución y Vedado, ocurrieron derrumbes parciales en su mayoría pérdida de techos y apuntalamientos, debido al incremento de la velocidad de los vientos.
