Los nominados de La Asociación Nacional para la multietnicidad en las comunicaciones (NAMIC) para los premios 2017 han sido finalmente anunciados. El material documental titulado «Viva Cuba Libre», de la cadena televisiva HBO se encuentra nominado en la categoría de Reality.
Estos premios que otorga la NAMIC buscan estimular la producción de materiales audiovisuales que aborden temáticas de diversidad cultural, étnica o histórica, además como no podía faltar premian premian la realización estética; entiéndase fotografía, guión, actuación, etc.
Actualmente son 18 las categorías, en las que los materiales nominados compiten, algunas de estas categorías son: Drama, Infantil, Comedia, Estilo de vida, Noticias/informativo, Película original o especial, Realidad-temas sociales, Deportivos, Variedad o Talk Show.
«Viva Cuba Libre», es un material documental que está ambientado en La Habana, muestra al público las vivencias cotidianas del cubano, así como muestra los barrios, los niños, el día a día. También se entrevistan a distintas personalidades como la diplomática Josefina Vidal o Abel Prieto , nuevamente Ministro de Cultura.
Esta asociació (NAMIC) fue fundada en sus inicios en 1980, como una asociación comercial sin fines de lucro, y en la actualidad ya cuenta con más de 3 mil profesionales en sus matrículas.
