Coincidiendo con la decisión del régimen cubano de aceptar la reanudación de vuelos de deportación desde Estados Unidos con migrantes cubanos detenidos en la frontera con México.
Las autoridades migratorias de Estados Unidos en estos últimos días han reducido el ritmo para tramitar la puesta en libertad de migrantes cubanos en sus oficinas en el Estado de Texas.
La Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza (CBP), indicaron KFOX14 / CBS4 en un reporte en el que informaron de un descenso del 75 por ciento en el ritmo de liberaciones.
Una semana atrás fueron liberados alrededor de 200 migrantes, lo que llaman “liberaciones provisionales”, esta semana fueron liberados 50, un marcado descenso que coincide con la decisión del régimen cubano de aceptar la reanudación de vuelos de deportación desde Estados Unidos con detenidos en la frontera mexicana.
“CBP y el Departamento de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) toman determinaciones de custodia caso por caso y tienen requisitos estrictos de información para cualquier individuo liberado provisionalmente de custodia en espera de sus procedimientos de deportación”, declaró CBP en un comunicado de prensa.
La reanudación de vuelos de deportación hacia Cuba, significa una barrera para el flujo de migrantes por Centroamérica hasta la frontera mexicana.
Según las autoridades estadounidenses, la cifra de personas liberadas disminuyó debido a que los casos se están procesando bajo «estrictos requisitos de información» para decidir sobre los posibles procedimientos de expulsión, y solo se les permite la salida de los centros de detención una vez que han hecho los arreglos pertinentes de viaje para ser acogidos por familiares, centros religiosos o entidades caritativas.
Hasta el momento la afluencia de cubanos por la ruta centroamericana hacia la frontera mexicana no ha disminuido y se ha mantenido en octubre y noviembre en niveles similares a los de meses precedentes, según reportes de CBP y la Patrulla Fronteriza.
