Con una brillante intrepidez y unas ganas de romper todo lo establecido, el ciclista austriaco Jacob Zurl ahora se enfrenta al reto de pedalear la isla de Cuba en 57 horas, lo que supondrá recorrer 1550 kilómetros.
“¿Por qué nadie ha hecho este desafío antes? Cuba es un país muy interesante”, agrega. “Quiero entrar en contacto con la gente, conocer el país. Tengo resistencia en el ciclismo y la gente de Cuba tiene resistencia en la vida”, dice el deportista a CNN.
Y lo curioso es que durante la travesía solo escuchará una canción, como mismo hizo en España, con Belive de Mumford and Sons, o en los HImalayas con Free, de Natalia Kills.
“Aún no he decidido qué canción será para Cuba. Para proyectos de larga distancia, la música lo hace más fácil”, dice. “Un día, mi auto de apoyo pasó sobre mi reproductor MP3. Fue horrible”, relató.
