Miles de vuelos de American Airlines el próximo mes, incluso durante el ocupado período de viaje de vacaciones, no tienen a los pilotos asignados debido a un error en la computadora, según la Unión de Pilotos.
Una nota sindical dice que el Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami es un centro donde se originan los vuelos no asignados.
La Asociación de Pilotos Aliados dice que esos vuelos en la aerolínea de pasajeros más grande en los Estados Unidos están ahora en peligro de ser cancelados, dejando a miles de viajeros varados, incluso en la temporada festiva.
El problema permitió a todos los pilotos reservar tiempo libre entre el 17 y el 31 de diciembre, lo que afectó a 15,000 vuelos reportados. La computadora de programación mostró que los vuelos estaban cubiertos cuando no lo estaban.
The Dallas Morning News informa que American Airlines está ofreciendo a los pilotos el 150 por ciento de su salario normal por hora para volar sus aviones, pero el sindicato afirma que la solución viola su acuerdo laboral.
