El actor norteamericano Ron Perlman regresará a Cuba para rodar una cinta sobre el escritor Ernest Hemingway, tras haberse puesto recientemente bajo las órdenes del director cubano Ernesto Daranas en el largometraje Sergio y Sergei.
Se trata de una película ambientada en 1992 sobre la relación de un astronauta soviético y un radioaficionado y profesor de marxismo cubano.
Perlman estuvo más de 15 días en la capital cubana donde conformó el elenco de esta cinta que el propio Daranas ha calificado como una “metáfora” de la Cuba contemporánea.
El conocido actor norteamericano, que ha actuado en filmes como «El nombre de la rosa», quedó prendado de la isla y quiere aprovechar el “deshielo” entre La Habana y Estados Unidos para grabar un filme sobre los últimos días de Hemingway en Cuba, donde vivió entre los años 40 y 50 años y escribió obras magistrales como «El viejo y el mar» y «Por quién doblan las campanas».
Para grabar un retrato lo más fiel posible del escritor, Perlman visitó, entre otras locaciones, el “refugio” de Hemingway en la nación caribeña, Finca Vigía.
La residencia cubana del novelista es una casa devenida museo, donde se conservan los bienes más preciados que atesoró durante el tiempo que permaneció en la Isla.
En el proyecto el actor cuenta con la asesoría del escritor cubano Enrique Cirules, un acucioso investigador de la obra de Hemingway.
