Fue detenido en Sunrise un agente de policía de Miami-Dade, según confirmaron autoridades.
El agente de policía detenido se nombra Thomas De Jesús Cedre, de 40 años de edad, fue detenido el sábado por el departamento de Policía de Sunrise con cargos de posesión de cocaína y descarga de un arma de fuego en público.
“Estoy al tanto del arresto de uno de mis oficiales por parte del Departamento de Policía de Sunrise. El oficial fue relevado inmediatamente de su cargo y este asunto está actualmente bajo investigación”, nota emitida por Alfredo “Freddy” Ramírez, director de la policía de Miami-Dade, añadiendo:
“Nuestros oficiales de policía están sometidos a normas más estrictas y son responsables de sus acciones. Aunque me siento realmente decepcionado al oír hablar del arresto, el Departamento de Policía de Miami-Dade sigue comprometido con nuestra comunidad y con mantener la transparencia a lo largo de este proceso”
