Delta Air Lines canceló alrededor de 100 vuelos el domingo debido a la escasez de personal y abrió algunos asientos intermedios un mes antes de lo esperado para poder ubicar a más pasajeros en los vuelos restantes.
La aerolínea se disculpó con los clientes y dijo en un comunicado el domingo que la mayoría de los pasajeros afectados habían sido reubicados en otros vuelos el mismo día de viaje.
También comunicó que tuvo más de 1 millón de pasajeros durante los últimos días, el número más alto desde antes de que comenzara la pandemia de coronavirus el año pasado.
La declaración dice que Delta ha estado trabajando en problemas de personal, así como en un gran número de empleados con efectos secundarios de las vacunas contra el coronavirus. Además, los pilotos están regresando al estado activo.
El miércoles, la aerolínea anunció que dejaría de bloquear los asientos del medio a partir del mes de mayo.
