Un hombre del condado de Broward en el sur de la Florida ha sido acusado de hacer amenazas contra la vida del presidente Trump en su cuenta de Facebook, informó NBC Miami.
Chauncy Devonte Lump, de 26 años, fue arrestado el sábado por la Oficina del Sheriff de Broward (BSO) por las amenazas y por un informe falso de una bomba, explosivo o arma de destrucción masiva, según los registros de la cárcel y una denuncia penal.
La denuncia llegó a un detective de BSO luego que Lump publicara un video en la red social y un empleado de Facebook lo denunciara a las autoridades locales.
En el video, Lump tenía crema blanca en la cara y una toalla en la cabeza envuelta como un turbante, así como lo que parecía ser una cortina de baño sobre su cuerpo, según la denuncia. En el fondo había música «que parece originarse en Medio Oriente», decía la denuncia.
Durante el video, que duró más de siete minutos, Lump hizo múltiples amenazas para matar al presidente, según la denuncia.
Los detectives fueron a la casa de Lump al día siguiente, donde Lump admitió haber producido el video y dijo que lo hizo en respuesta al asesinato de Soleimani. Lump añadió que era un broma y dijo: «No debería haberlo hecho en primer lugar».
La denuncia dice que Lump trabaja como guardia de seguridad y tiene una licencia de arma oculta en Florida, y poseía una pistola semiautomática de 9 mm.
Lump fue encarcelado sin fianza según los registros. Debía comparecer ante el tribunal el jueves.
