El propietario de la agencia de vuelos chárter Superior Air que el pasado sábado dejó varados en Miami a decenas de cubanos que viajaban a Cuba explicó lo sucedido en una entrevista con Eyife TV.

Anthony Martin, propietario de Superior Air Charter, LLC explicó que todo el problema se sucedió por una transferencia bancaria que debió llegar a Cuba y no había llegado.

Según Martín la transferencia fue enviada a Cuba el 29 de noviembre y el banco estadounidense donde opera Superior Air Charter, LLC la liberó el 3 de diciembre. Según el propietario de charter, todas las aerolíneas incluida las agencias trabajan prepagando los servicios a Cuba y el dinero transita por al menos 3 bancos internacionales hasta llegar a Francia.

La transferencia de más de $200 mil dólares de Superior Air Charter quedó detenida en uno de los bancos intermedios antes de llegar a su destino por controles que hacen las instituciones bancarias para asegurarse que el dinero no provenga de actividades ilegales.

Al no llegar el dinero a la cuenta controlada por Cuba, las autoridades cubanas no autorizaron el aterrizaje en La Habana de Superior Air Charter.

Anthony Martin, agradeció a otros charters que lo ayudaron a reubicar a algunos pasajeros para que pudieran volar a Cuba aunque todavía quedan personas sin viajar.

Martin mostró las licencias y permisos que tiene para operar como Chárter para desmentir las acusaciones que de que era un operador fantasma.

El propietario de Superior Air Charter quien dijo que no le interesaba hablar de política cuando se trata el tema de Cuba, defendió las tarifas que el gobierno cubano cobra a los operadores que viajan a la isla «A veces la gente dice que Cuba se vuelve millonaria, no es así, cobra lo mismo que cobra Estados Unidos» dijo justificando los precios del gobierno de La Habana.

Pidió a los afectados paciencia asegurandoles que su dinero será reintegrado y les pidió que vayan a su oficina a hacer manifestaciones porque eso le quita tiempo para seguir gestionando con los bancos.
