Con el noble propósito de recaudar fondos para ayudar a los damnificados del tornado que azotó La Habana el pasado 27 de enero, varios artistas cubanos se unieron en la ciudad de Miami para grabar el tema «Por Cuba, la que me vio nacer», lanzado en YouTube hace menos de 24 horas.

La canción logró reunir a los cantantes cubanos El Chacal, la Srta. Dayana, Rey Chávez, Baby Lores, Yakarta, El Uniko, El Chulo, El Micha, Diván, JP, Yulién Oviedo, Chocolate MC y a Lenier Mesa, todos juntos con el objetivo de ayudar a las más de 10.000 personas que se han quedado sin hogar en la capital cubana.

El presentador cubano Alex Otaola promovió la canción en su popular programa «Hola Ota-Ola».

El cantante, humorista y actor cubano Erich Concepción quien también ha colaborado con los damnificados del potente evento climatológico que afectó diferentes municipios capitalinos en Cuba, compartió la iniciativa de los reguetoneros, y admitió sentirse conmovido.

«Mis lágrimas con esta canción. De más está decir cuanto me toca de cerca esto. Bravo muchachos. Me hubiese gustado haber estado con ustedes cantando esto aunque sea un par de compaces. Me siento parte de esta historia. Pero creo que es inmenso lo que han hecho. Gracias», escribió Concepción en redes sociales.
