El pelotero cubano Yuli Gurriel quien hace historia en Grandes Ligas se ha sentido verdaderamente conmocionado ante la tragedia del accidente aéreo, que tuvo lugar el pasado viernes en La Habana.

“Supe de una familia cubana de Houston que fueron víctimas [de la tragedia] en su visita a nuestra patria”, escribió el primera base de los Astros en su cuenta de Twitter.

“Es mi intención pagar el viaje a Cuba de sus familiares. Mi corazón y alma están con las familias de todas las víctimas de este mal momento”, añadió el beisbolista cubano de 33 años de edad.

Puig de los Dodgers de Los Ángeles, también ha tenido otros hermosos gestos dedicados a la caridad, el cubano está inmerso en la preparación de un torneo de póker para celebridades que ayudará a generar fondos para su fundación The Wild Horse Foundation, que ha realizado donaciones y aportes entre niños necesitados de Estados Unidos y América Latina.

Yasiel ha prometido 1.000 dólares por cada cuadrangular que conecte en beneficio de su fundación.

La tragedia del viernes dejó 110 muertos, 99 de ellos cubanos, y ha dejado una estela de dolor a ambos lados del estrecho de la Florida, señala El Nuevo Herald.
